Why Physics?

A Level Physics is a highly respected subject and is placed on the Russell Group’s list of ‘facilitating’ subjects. Studying this subject will demonstrate to a future employer that you have a strong mathematical and analytical skillset. A good grade in this subject will create many future career opportunities, such as pathways into Engineering, Medicine, Astronomy, Cosmology, Electronics, Finance and many more.

About the course

A Level Physics will require a mixture of highly conceptual thinking and practical applications. Calculations are a large aspect of the course and you will need to be confident with algebra. These calculations are expected to be communicated clearly on paper. Capturing accurate results from practical applications requires practice and proficient use of laboratory equipment.
