Why Geography?

A Level Geography is a highly respected subject and is placed on the Russell Group’s list of ‘facilitating’ subjects. Geography is one of the most relevant subjects you could choose to study and there is an increasing demand for professionals who are knowledgeable in the areas of this subject. Geography can support a variety of other studies such as Biology, Business and Economics. Studying this subject will demonstrate that you are comfortable working and understanding data, and have an open mind and willingness to learn and understand other people’s opinions.

About the course

It has been said that Geography is the subject which holds the key to our future. It is now more important than ever that we address important issues such as climate change, migration, social issues and natural hazards – all of which will be covered in this subject. A Level Geography is generally split into human and physical Geography; however you will find that a lot of topics will overlap. You will learn political and social aspects of the issues in the world around us.
