Easter weekend Liverpool 2017 (1)

Easter weekend in Liverpool 2017

There is always something happening in Liverpool and the Easter weekend is a great opportunity to spend time with family & friends and see more of the city. Check out our list of 4 things to do during the 4 day weekend!

1. Liverpool Food and Drink Festival

Get your ticket now for the Spring Food and Drink Festival which takes place at Sefton Park on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th April. There is a huge variety of food and drink stalls from all of your favourite places in Liverpool, not to mention all of the new places you will discover! Tickets are £10 for the whole weekend (or £12 if you buy on the day). Make the most of the spring weather, get a group of friends together and visit the park for a memorable weekend. Buy tickets here.

2. Go on an Easter Egg hunt

Based on Rodney Street in the city centre, there is an Easter Egg hunt in The Hardmans' House. See who can find all of the eggs hidden away in this National Trust house, or see who can find all of the eggs the quickest! Solve the clues to claim a Cadbury's chocolate prize! See more here.

3. Go outdoors

There should be some Easter sun on Saturday so why not visit one of the parks or surrounding beaches?! Make yourself a picnic and head down to Sefton Park, Calderstones Park, Newsham Park to catch those sun rays! Or a little further out of the city there are beaches in Southport, Crosby, Formby and West Kirby. Sit back, relax and enjoy the outdoors this Easter weekend!

4. Visit Lark Lane

Lark Lane is a street in Liverpool close to Sefton Park which is full of bohemian independent bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as craft shops. Lark Lane is a great location if you are looking for a relaxed afternoon in the city. During the Easter weekend, there is plenty of places to visit and sample local food and drink. There is also an Open Mic night at The Albert pub or a Quiz in Love & Rockets pub on Sunday evening, why not try something new?! Take the 82 bus from Liverpool One or get the train from Liverpool Central/Moorfields to St Michaels station.

How will you spend the Easter weekend?
